Pallett - Mr. Violet - Baz Baran

We share same feelings but in different words

After a long time, I'm back and I finally wrote something. I know for such a long time I did not write anything. But I had reasons for this situation. Depression, working, and again depression... But I got over all tough times. I hope I will have more good time than my past. But my biggest problem was that I could not decide what I supposed to share. I had to share something, I mean song, that it should be more special than I shared ones until this time. Something really different, something, really from me. And suddenly I heard this song ( thanks to my younger sis) and I said ' yeah this is exactly what I want to share.

Azerbaijani, Armenian, Kurdish, Persian..

First part of the song is kurdish ( and also kurdish is my second mother language :) second part of song is persian. You can heard this song in armenian, Azerbaijani and (you can't believe but ) even in Greece. Actually this is what I really try to do with my blog. You know we lived lots of historical things in this area ( Turkey, Armenia Azerbaijan,Persian Iraq..) I called old Mesopotamia. We are still same people, we are share same history, same feelings same pains and same songs... We are not different. And I think we have to keep trying to remember our comman culture and music is the best way to remember of this.

For today thats all from me,
Please write me back whatever you want

I love you all :)

Mariam Matossian / Hars Em Knoom

Time can frozen ?
For today, my answer will be ' yes'. I do not know why but I think time is like frozen for me and I stuck in a moment of life. Some Things are changing. But somehow, at the end of story, I find out myself at the beginning. And then new stories, new period but same ending. İt is now becoming very exhausting. I wanna change all this things and find new path to walk. İn summary, I feel little bit blue today.

Thanks to my blue mood, I decided to share this marvelous song. 'Hars em Knoom' or 'I'm Marrying.'
This is one of Mariam Matossian song.  The song's language is Armenian. As can be understood, Mariam Matossian is a musician specialising in Armenian folk music. She is Armenian but she was born and raise in Canada. And clearly she has so much soft voice that can touch your heart. After listening this lovely song, unfortunately, I'm not feel beter. Therefore this is enough for this day

Take care yourself!

I am marrying
I am marrying,
Leaving my home
Seventeen years old,
My dear mommy,
I am holding love.
You have given birth to me,
Loved me, cared for me,
My dear mommy,
You have passed me to my lover.
Let me deserve your sweet milk
Let your blessings be always with me
My dear mommy.

Eliyahu Sills & Qadim Near East / Durme Durme

A lullaby in Ladino Language. I think it is so much sad to singing for a child. But I wish I could see a mother sing this song for own child. İt would be great. In my one of previous content, I was told about Language of Ladino. We can say for ladino ' Jewish Spanish.' Clearly, Ladino is not one of famous language in our time. İnsomuch that, Ladino is dying. Yes, unfortunately this true. Today, less or more 150.000 person can speak Ladino. However, most of these people are +65 years old. and unfortunately again, new generation don't prefer speak Ladino. This is worrying situation. But I Can't blame all these people who don't prefer to talk Ladino, because somehow I'm in same situation. Actually I have second mother language but I do not use this language in my daily life, I guess, I just use my second language when I talk with my grandma. But in a someway, this situation little bit dependent of conditions.

Ah yes, we were talking about Durme Durme

Durme Durme have various cover version. One of them is Eliyahu Sills and Qadim Near East. These persons have more than one great job. And one of them is exactly Durme Durme. They sing lots of perfect song in various languages; Turkish, Arabic, Armenian, Ladino...İf you want to read more about them I'll give a link in below. İf we back Durme Durme again, here you are, Song lyric in English;

Sleep
Sleep, sleep my beloved son
Sleep, sleep with no worries nor pain.
Close your beautiful eyes,
Sleep, sleep favorably.
Close your beautiful eyes,
Sleep, sleep favorably.
From your crib you'll leave,
And to school you'll go
And it's there my beloved son
That you'll learn to read.
And it's there my beloved son
That you'll learn to read.
Sleep, sleep my beloved son
Sleep, sleep with no worries nor pain.
Close your beautiful eyes,
Sleep, sleep favorably.
Close your beautiful eyes,
Sleep, sleep favorably.
From school you'll leave,
With a beautiful bride in hand,
And it's then my beloved son
That you'll have children of your own.
And it's then my beloved son
That you'll have children of your own.
